Wal-Mart online ending MP3 sales

Wal-Mart will stop selling MP3s through their online site, walmart.com on August 29 2011.

Wal-Mart started selling MP3s to compete with Apple’s iTunes in 2003. But in recent years they have been unable to compete with Amazon.com, iTunes and many other sites offering music downloads.

Customers who already purchased music on walmart.com can continue to use and manage their music on the site.
