Verizon to sell iPads in November

Verizon Wireless will start selling iPads using WiFi to access the web in November.

Verizon will not sell the 3G version of the iPad because AT&T is the only carrier that has the ‘3G’ technology needed for high-speed data transfer for Apple products. Instead you can bundle the Wi-Fi version of the iPad with a ‘MiFi’ gadget for about $130.

It is believed that Apple wants the iPad in as many stores as possible before Christmas. A move that will also put pressure on competitive tablets for sales.

Whether or not Verizon gets the iPhone is still unclear but selling the iPad is a big step forward.
