Her Universe, SiFi clothing for women

Ashley Eckstein is best known in the science fiction world as the voice of Ahsoka Tano in the animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.”

As a big fan of the Sci Fi genre Ashley was interested in purchasing some of the “Star Wars” clothing. Unfortunately she quickly found it was difficult to find the cloths she wanted. Almost everything Ashley was interested in was designed for boys or men.

A big misconception is that science fiction is a male dominated field. The latest demographics from the SyFy channel showed viewership in the third quarter was 48 percent female.

So three years ago Ashley decided to start her own clothing line for women called “Her Universe.”

Ashley’s first license was Star Wars. She was able to sit down and quickly join forces with Lucasfilm. She is now currently talking with other media franchises for future merchandise.

At the moment though Ashley’s clothing line consists mostly of T-shirts, hoodies, a few exclusive items and one piece of jewelry. Quality control is number one for her but she hopes this will not slow things down as she introduces new items soon.
